Role Permissions |
Each Touchstone user is assigned a role that defines the user's level of access. Only a System Administrator can create, modify, and delete users.
• System Administrator: Responsible for creating users and setting up business units. This role has the same application-level access that a Business Unit Administrator or User has, and has all permissions.
• Business Unit Administrator: Responsible for assigning users to business units and modifying default values per business unit. This role has the same application-level access that a User has, and has additional permissions, such as setting global defaults and configuring cloud burst policy. Multiple users can be Business Unit Administrators. The Business Unit Administrator acts as the system administrator but only for the applicable business units.
• User: Has access to basic functionality but does not have access to certain global settings.
• Underwriter: Has many of the same rights as the User but has no access to portfolios.
The following table summarizes, by functionality, the permissions available to each role.
