Distribution of Replacement Value by Geocode Match

The widget includes two tabs:

  • AIR: Displays the percentage of total replacement value that corresponds to each AIR-specified geocode match level.

  • Non-AIR: Displays the percentage of total replacement value that corresponds to each user-specified geocode match level.

Moving the pointer over a bar displays the exact percentage. A high percentage of AIR-specified Exact Address matches generally indicates that the data quality of the addresses is good, which is likely to increase the percentage of addresses that Touchstone matches during the augmentation process.

Note:

Locations with a geocode match level of "None" are not included in loss analyses.

For more information, see Using Geocoding in Touchstone, which is available on the AIR Client Portal.

To display detailed results for this view, click Show in Window in the Geocode Match Level window. The following table describes each of the columns in the results grid.

Column

Description

Geocode Match Level

The geocode match level---

  • City Centroid: Geocoded at the center of the city.

  • County Centroid: Geocoded at the center of the county.

  • Country Centroid: Geocoded at the center of the country.

  • CRESTA Centroid: Geocoded at the center of the CRESTA zone.

  • Exact Address: Geocoded at the correct house number on the correct street. Based on interpolation of street segments from various geocoding data sources.

  • None: Geocode cannot be determined.

  • Point: The most precise geocoding available, because it is obtained from GPS or satellite images directly on the building. Since this data is obtained as part of the on-site commercial building inspection process, point matches are available only in some commercial building records.

  • Postal Code Centroid: Geocoded at the center of the five-digit postal code.

  • Relaxed Address: Not enough information to make an exact match because of input address data inconsistencies or missing address components. System found a near match to the street, but the house number is within the house number range on a database street segment for the matched street.

  • User Supplied: User provided the geocode.

  • ZIP9 Centroid: Geocoded at the center of the nine-digit postal code, which is a very small area.

Depending on the data source, locations with centroid-level geocode matches may be placed at the geometric center or the center of population mass.
