Catalog Viewer workflow

This topic summarises various tasks you can perform in Catalog Viewer.

Your workflow in Verisk Catalog Viewer session may consist of some or all of the below steps:

  1. Search for events provided by the ALERT team or by using event parameters or event identifiers

    You can do a refined parametric search using different spatial layers, either drawn or added from various sources, including your data, or find stochastic event sets from an ongoing global event.

  2. Drill down to your events of interest

    You can now select events that have the maximum impact on your portfolio and add them to your collection of events for ease of future reference.

  3. Visualize events of interest on the Catalog Viewer map

    You can view the landfall information, intensity footprints, and storm tracks of the events of your interest on the map of Catalog Viewer.

  4. Download event data in many different formats as per your requirements

    Event data is now available as PDF reports for sharing among your colleagues. Also, they are available in CSV formats for further use in various risk management tools.
