Features of the map interface

The map-centric user interface of Catalog Viewer helps you to visualize and analyze catalog and other geospatial data.

Verisk Catalog Viewer also helps to view the parameters of the events and set up search criteria for similar stochastic event selection workflow.

The map interface also enables you to:

  • Visualize events details of your interest.

  • Draw and save different geometric layers.

  • Display third-party advisory data, including NOAA and ESRI Global Tropical Cyclone layers.

  • Upload your set of locations to visualize the events and for further filtering down the events.

  • Zoom in and out of the map area.

  • Input your choice of coordinates and navigate within the map area.

Your cursor is the key navigation tool on the map interface, with the coordinates reflecting the current cursor position on the map.

Map layers in Verisk Catalog Viewer are now organized and grouped by peril for easy view and further exploration. Exceptions to this are User Data Uploads and User Drawn layers which remain peril independent.
