Zone Set Manager 6.0

To use the Zone Set Manager, you must have a proper license.

A zone set is an organizational unit that enables you to group geographic areas, called "zones" across boundaries. For example, you can include US and Canada zones in the same zone set. A zone set comprises one or more zones. The Zone Set Manager uses geographical area information that is stored in the tGeography database.

The Zone Set Manager enables you to define and manage zone sets. Both Touchstone and Touchstone Re use the Zone Set Manager. For information about using the Zone Set Manager in Touchstone Re, see the Touchstone Re Help.

Touchstone can accumulate exposures in zone sets when a user selects the Zone option (Detailed Loss Analysis > Output Options) during configuration of a Detailed Loss Analysis. The Compatibility option in the Zone Set Manager indicates whether the zones are valid for the analyses (Touchstone) or Aggregate analyses (Touchstone Re). You can analyze the zonal accumulations in the Detailed Loss Analysis results grid. Zonal loss results for Save Loss By combinations selected during a Detailed Loss Analysis are available in the results database, including summary and full annual distributions by zone and TVAR by zone.

You can use zonal loss results in Marginal Impact, Loss Groups, Loss Comparative, and CATXOL analyses. You can export zonal loss results to CSV files or to a result database.
