If you export a rate set that you want to import into the same Touchstone client, you must change the file name and the
rate set name after you export the rate set. If you do not change the rate set name, you
will get an error when you try to import the rate set, even if the file name is
different.
Procedure
To export a currency exchange rate set:
-
In the Currency Rate Settings pane, in the list of currency rate
sets, select the rate set that you want to export.
-
On the toolbar, click (Export Currency Exchange Rate
Set).
The Export Currency dialog box opens.
-
Specify the export destination (a
valid UNC destination path and file name).
-
Click Export.
If the file exists, the system prompts you to decide whether to replace it or not. If
the file does not exists, the export process continues. When the export has succeeded, a
Notification dialog box appears with details about the location
to which you exported the rate set.
-
To edit the name of the rate set:
-
Browse to the location where you exported the rate set.
-
Open the CSV file in a text editor—not in a spreadsheet application.
The currency code and the rate set name are separated by a comma on the first
line.
If you export the default Euro-Based rate set, this is the first line:
EUR, Euro-Based.
-
Change the rate set name and close the text editor.
