Performing a Score Data Diagnostic

Procedure

To run a Data Quality Analysis with a Score Data diagnostic in Portfolio Mode:

  1. Create a new Data Quality analysis.
  2. [Optional] In the New Data Quality Analysis pane, in the Analysis Target list, select additional targets.
  3. In the New Data Quality Analysis pane, select the Score Data check box.

The Scoring Data pane opens. The following options enable you to select the perils to use when calculating data quality and overall risk scores:

Use maximum of hurricane and severe storm

Based on the location and characteristics of the exposure, the diagnostic uses the peril (hurricane or severe storm only) with the higher modeled loss cost to calculate the scores.

    Apply selected peril

Select the check box and then select the peril you want the diagnostic to use—Earthquake, Hurricane, or Severe Storm—to calculate the scores for all locations.

    Use maximum loss cost peril

Based on the location and characteristics of the exposure, the diagnostic uses the peril (Earthquake, Hurricane, or Severe Thunderstorm) with the highest modeled loss cost to calculate the scores.

  4. [Optional] To narrow the scope of the exposure data being analyzed, click Analysis Filters and configure the filters for the diagnostic to use.

You use this option to analyze only those exposures with a total replacement value above or below values that you specify.

  5. Click Analysis Management to configure analysis-specific functions.
  6. [Optional] In the Analysis Prefix field, enter a prefix to distinguish between analysis results.

This field appears only when you select multiple analysis targets.

  7. In the Analysis Name field, if the analysis target is a single exposure view or contract, you can leave the default, which is the exposure view name or the contract ID and the type of analysis, or you can enter a unique alphanumeric identifier. If the analysis target includes multiple exposure views or contracts, you cannot change the default name, which is "Auto name ('n' items)".

Entering some combination of the exposure view name along with the analysis type enables you to quickly find result sets in the Activity Monitor.

  8. Click Run.

Touchstone adds the analysis to the Activity Monitor queue for processing when the required system resources are available.

  9. View the analysis results.
