Search for Earthquake events from Verisk's ALERT™ services

Find events by name from the Verisk's real-time catastrophic event updates that meet your specific set of event attributes.

You can find events by name from Verisk's ALERT services that could affect your portfolio. You can alter the parameters that ALERT experts used to customize your selection of stochastic event sets or view previous ALERT postings.

Steps to search for events from the ALERT issued list of events:

Procedure

  1. Click on the add symbol next to EARTHQUAKE
    QUERY BY search window opens
  2. Click on the Query By ALERT™ Real-Time.
    ALERT™ Real-Time window opens listing all the Real-Time Earthquake events.
  3. Enable the Show Events on Map to display the epicenter of your selected event on the map.
  4. From the list of Verisk's ALERT™ service events, select the event of your interest.
  5. Alternatively, fill in the text box with the name of the event of your interest.
    1. Use the cross symbol to clear the input and enter a new name.
      The cross sign only appears once you start adding the event name.

Results

The search displays the event name, its current status and the time and date of the most recent update. Additionally, the application also retrieves the Verisk ALERT deliverables for the selected event in each of the three ALERT statuses: active, monitoring, and closed. These deliverables include:
  • Information on similar stochastic event ID's .
  • Event summary

If your search is invalid or if there are no Real-time events to report at the time of search,a message informing the absence will be displayed on your screen.

Click on Close to get back to the main search window.
Note: Note that whenever you navigate from one peril search to another, you will receive a warning message informing you that all of your current peril data and related map layers will be cleared.
