Touchstone(Re) hot fix 9.0.1

This hot fix addresses license and persistence issues in Touchstone and loss updates for the N. Atlantic Hurricane in Touchstone Re.

Updates for Touchstone:

  • For installations which only license the U.S. Severe Thunderstorm (ST) model, the ST perils are greyed out in the user interface. If any other ST models are licensed in conjunction with the U.S. model, the application will work as expected.
  • Changes to the Touchstone user interface layout are remembered only for the last user who logged out of the application. There is only one common persistence file, instead of one persistence file per user.

Updates for Touchstone Re:

  • Updates to NOAA’s HURDAT2 data set have impacted loss estimates to three events in the North Atlantic Hurricane (M27) Historical catalog, but these loss updates were not included in the 2021 (9.0) release. The impacted events and approximate industry loss changes are:
    • 2017 Harvey (event ID 115): 44% increase
    • 2017 Irma (event ID 116): 1% decrease
    • 2018 Florence (event ID 118): 2% decrease
