View earthquake characteristics of an event

You can view detailed characteristics of your selected Earthquake event on the Results panel.

Procedure

  1. Search for an event.

    The tabs of the Results Grid gets updated with the detailed characteristics of your selected Earthquake event.

  2. Click on

    Stochastic Events Displays Earthquake characteristics of the events in stochastic catalog which pass through your applied search criteria.
    My Collection Display events that you have selected and saved from the Stochastic Event set.
  3. From either of the tabs in the Results Grid, select the row of the event of your interest.

    The Epicenter of the event gets highlighted on the map.

  4. Alternatively, click on the Epicenter of the event.

    The Results panel will auto-scroll and highlight the Earthquake event of your choice in the Results tab.

  5. Navigate to the page showing the event of your interest by clicking the arrow at the bottom of the Results panel. Set the page size you want to view with the total number of results per page displayed at the bottom of each page.
    The events in the current tab of the Results panel get displayed on the map.
  6. Click on the Event Summary button at the top of the Results panel.

    You will see an information pop-up on the map, providing Event ID, Epicenter coordinates, Fault name, Magnitude and Depth associated with the selected event.

    You can also click on Zoom to Event or Add to My Collection.

  7. Click elsewhere on the Results tab to clear the pop-up.
